Herbert J. Solomon, a partner with the San Diego law firm of Solomon Ward Seidenwurm & Smith, has received the Bernard E. Witkin, Esq. Award for Distinguished Service as an Attorney from the Law Library Justice Foundation. The award is for civic leadership and excellence in the teaching, practice, enactment or adjudication of the law. Solomon has practiced law in San Diego for 52 years. He founded Solomon Ward Seidenwurm & Smith in 1977. The foundation also honored Judge David M. Gill for Distinguished Service as a Judge, Marjorie Cohn for Distinguished Service as an Educator, and Carol Lam for Distinguished Service as a Community Leader.
