The San Diego law firm of Solomon Ward Seidenwurm & Smith, LLP is pleased to announce that partner Richard McCarthy has been appointed chairman of the firm’s litigation department. McCarthy has more than 25 years practicing in the areas of business litigation and construction law.

McCarthy received his undergraduate degree cum laude from UCLA in 1979 and his law degree magna cum laude from McGeorge School of Law in 1982. He is a member of the California State Bar Association; San Diego County Bar Association; and the Order of the Coif. McCarthy is Martindale-Hubbell AV® Rated and was selected for inclusion in San Diego Super Lawyers® - Business Litigation, Construction Litigation in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
